Tribute Tuesday!

Tuesday's Tribute

This week's tribute is to :
People who put allergy warnings on their packaging and menus. Thanks!
Earlier today I went with my fiance to our local Thai restaurant.
I ordered the Sesame Chicken like I usually do in Chinese restaurants. It came with a salad with peanut dressing. I am not allergic to peanuts so I was sure it was safe because it said nothing about Almonds. I was wrong. Apparently, somewhere 3 bites into a piece of chicken I hit almond. Within minutes my tongue was all swelly and I was kinda choking. Wolf and I left quickly and went to buy some Benedryl. Within the hour I was ok. I wish people would take in to consideration the fact that all people can't eat things like that and at least mention them in the description.
Anyhow, Thank you person who thinks to label things!

  1. I totally agree! I am allergic to dairy and often I will ask if something has dairy in it and often I get the response "I don't know" or "No," when it is a yes because I get sick after. I try to be careful the best I can, but it is super frustrating. Hope you feel better and sorry that happened sweetie!

  3. Oh no!

A warning or label would have definitely been in order.

I'm so glad that you are OK. Kind of scary thinking about what could have happened if you didn't know about your allergy and what do to combat it!

  4. I learned the hard way about almonds. A few years ago I was at my aunt's and she had this awesome apple almond cereal. Which apparently was so awesome...

The Mt. Dew day went ok I haven't really drank any since then.

  5. Oh, wow, glad you are okay! They should definitely label things, especially when it comes to nuts as so many people are allergic to them.

Thanks for visiting my blog the other day!
